Equipotential connector for cathodic protection system
In specific places and some independent grounding systems, in order to prevent the unequal ground potential between different grounding bodies, it is necessary to use equipotential connectors in the lightning process due to commonly occurred counterattack phenomenon. When the potential difference between both ends of the connector is greater than a certain value, the connector is conducted, forcing different grounding body potentials to be equal on both ends of the connector, eliminating the discharge phenomenon between grounding bodies, thus avoiding too high potential difference to endanger the personal and equipment safety. Under normal working condition, the equal potential connector is an open circuit, thereby isolating the mutual interference between different grounding bodies.

It is installed between two independent grounding grids or between two independent potential connectors.
